Lost-wax casting
It is the artistic technique per excellence of the Mediterranean culture in the metal foundry. The name comes from the use of wax as an ephemeral model although at present, this method has been adapted to new materials such as: plastics, materials used in 3D printers, foams, polyurethanes, etc.
